FONGI — Terms of use
Terms of Use
1. Purpose of the platform
The FONGI platform (hereinafter "the Platform") is a digital tool for the coordination and knowledge management of the Forum of International NGOs in Tunisia. Its purpose is to:
- Facilitate coordination between the FONGI member organisations operating in Tunisia
- Centralise data on the members' projects, impact indicators and contributions
- Support the governance of the forum (working groups, Council of Members, decisions)
- Ensure the traceability of the members' commitments and participation
2. Intended users and access
The Platform is exclusively reserved for FONGI members and designated administrators. It is not accessible to the general public.
During the pilot phase (2026), access is limited to a restricted group of 8 representative organisations. Access is gradually opened to all 38 members after validation of the pilot.
User accounts are created only by invitation from an administrator. It is not possible to sign up spontaneously on the Platform.
3. User account
Account creation
The account is created by a FONGI administrator by invitation. The user receives their sign-in credentials and is asked to change them at their first sign-in.
User responsibilities
- The user is solely responsible for the confidentiality of their sign-in credentials
- Any use of the account is deemed to have been made by its holder
- If the credentials are compromised, the user must inform the administrator immediately
- Sharing an account between several people is prohibited
Password requirements
The password must contain at least 12 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a digit and a special character. The use of compromised passwords (listed in data-breach databases) is automatically blocked.
4. Content published on the Platform
Accuracy obligations
Users undertake to provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information about their organisations and their projects. Any erroneous or misleading information may lead to the suspension of the account.
Respect for other members
Users undertake to use the Platform in a spirit of collaboration and mutual respect, in line with FONGI's values. Any behaviour detrimental to other members may lead to the suspension of the account.
Confidentiality of exchanges
Information marked as "internal" or "confidential" on the Platform must not be disclosed to third parties outside FONGI without the express authorisation of the administrator.
5. Intellectual property
The Platform
The Platform (source code, design, architecture) is the property of Emilie Bernard, holder of the copyright. Any reproduction or use for purposes other than those of FONGI is prohibited without prior written authorisation.
Content produced by members
Content produced by the member organisations (project descriptions, activity reports, indicators, documents) remains the intellectual property of the organisations concerned. Uploading this content constitutes authorisation to store, process and display it strictly within the FONGI Platform.
6. Liability
Limitation of liability
The Platform is provided "as is". The administrator undertakes to maintain a reasonable level of availability but does not guarantee continuous availability. No compensation may be claimed in the event of a service interruption.
Force majeure
The administrator cannot be held liable for interruptions or failures resulting from causes beyond their control: natural disasters, hosting provider outages, cyberattacks, restrictions imposed by the Tunisian authorities, etc.
Tunisian context
The Platform is used in compliance with the Tunisian legislation applicable to international organisations operating on the national territory. Users undertake not to use the Platform for purposes contrary to this legislation.
7. Termination
By the user
Any user may request the closure of their account at any time by sending a request to the administrator or to the DPO (theophile.renard@drc.ngo). The account is deactivated within 48 working hours.
By the administrator
The administrator reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in the event of:
- Failure to comply with these Terms of Use
- Behaviour detrimental to other members or to FONGI
- Cessation of activity of the member organisation concerned
- An express request from the organisation represented
8. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by the law applicable in the country of residence of the data controller.
Note: the applicable law (French, Italian or Tunisian law) will be specified before the official launch of the Platform. This point is being determined by the data controller.
In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution before any legal action.
